How to raise money successfully through bonds and tokens
1. Choose the right interest rate
The interest income should match the risk of investing in your company. A credit assessment — from us or from the rating agency BIK Ratings — will help you gauge that risk. If you offer frequent put options and/or collateral, you can raise money at a lower rate.
2. Build open communication with investors and give them transparent information about your company
There are many ways to do this. You can create a web page with detailed information about your company (example: invest.belsept.by), prepare an investor presentation (example: Avangard Leasing), start your own Telegram channel (example: a company channel), release a video presentation of the company (example: Agrofinance), publish financial statements for recent years on your website (example: Openline), and drop into bond and token chats to invite investors to ask you questions directly.
A great example of a successful placement with full transparency is Blesavaris Leasing, which issued its first tokens in May. The company used almost all of the methods above, which let it raise significant funds in a very short time. We helped the company build its investor relations (t.me/belarus_issuers/57). Volumes and placement periods of the Blesavaris Leasing issues:
Issue 1 (BYN 250,000), issued 25 May — fully placed 13 June
Issue 2 (EUR 100,000), issued 25 May — fully placed 18 June
Issue 3 (USD 100,000), issued 25 May — fully placed 21 June
Issue 4 (USD 250,000), issued 16 June — fully placed 5 July
